Greyback Construction

Greyback Construction has been awarded the contract to build the Osoyoos Firehall which will come in around $5 million. Construction will begin shortly.


Lake City Casino owned by Gateway is moving to takeover the Wine Centre building near the S.O.E.C. and add another 40,000 sq.ft. to become Cascades Casino, The $25 million dollar project will get underway in the first quarter of 2016 and be completed a year later. The new building will bring with it about another 100 jobs plus what is created in the construction. The BC Lottery Corporation is expected to endorse the move by January 31, 2016

Cantex-Okanagan Construction Ltd. of Penticton has won this year’s Deputy Minister’s Contractor of the Year Award in the category of grading for the Highway 97, 74 Mile to 76 Mile four-laning project located south of 100 Mile House.

This $7.8-million four-laning contract involved widening 4.5 kilometres of Highway 97 from 74 Mile to 76 Mile as part of the $200-million investment into Phase 2 of the Cariboo Connector Upgrade Project. Cantex-Okanagan Construction Ltd. completed the project ahead of schedule and on budget, and exceeded expectations with their effective quality-management plan, a traffic management plan that was well-co-ordinated ahead of time, and their emphasis on environmental management with a proactive approach to working in wetlands and local ponds.



New Owners at Debbies Diner

Debbie and Melton Jones from Fort St. John took over in early December 2015.

Debbie’s is located on Barnes St. in the G. Little complex.
