The south Okanagan’s first Nissan auto dealership will open at the Penticton Indian Band’s Satikw Crossing development. Chief Jonathan Kruger and John Kot, owner of Nissan Penticton made a joint announcement confirming what many rumoured in Penticton for a while. They will be renting two acres when completed.
Gordon Ferguson has opened Patio Burger & Ice Cream in Lakawanna Park on Lakeshore Drive in Penticton. Some outside construction is still going on but the seating and take-out service are open. Menu includes various burgers, hot dogs and home made ice cream. They are open 10 to 10 every day of the week.
Scott Mayhew has joined Chase Valley Construction as Vice President. Mayhew has had his own firm since 2003. Chase focuses on custom homes, renovations, additions, commercial work and project management.
Shaun Everest has taken a role as Vice President Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer at Terrabella Wineries Ltd. He held a similar role at Tinhorn Creek since 1997.
WestJet announced an expansion of flights in Western Canada and confirmed that partner Encore will resume their morning flight to Calgary starting Monday October 24. The schedule will be Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat departing at 6:30 a.m. and landing in Calgary at 8:37 a.m. The second daily flight from Calgary arrives the evening(s) prior with takeoff at 8:55 p.m. and arriving here at 9:08 p.m.
